「剛体折紙」を主な題材とし、立体形状の変形機構について、モデル化、解析、デザインの手法を学ぶ。これらの問題解決のため、ベクトルを用いた幾何拘束の表現、行列を用いた剛体変形の表現、微小変形モデル、球面の幾何学、図法幾何学、数値計算による機構解析などの数理手法を学ぶ。
授業全体後半はプロジェクト型として、形状や動きの観察から新たな現象を発見し、問いを立て協働を通してデザインを行う。
Using " rigid origami" as the main subject of study, participants will learn methods of modeling, analysis, and design of mechanisms of 3-D shape transformation. To solve these problems, participants learn mathematical methods such as representation of geometric constraints using vectors, representation of rigid body deformation using matrices, infinitesimal deformation models, geometry of spherical surfaces, descriptive geometry, and mechanism analysis by numerical calculation.
The second half of the course is project-based, where students discover new phenomena through observation of shapes and movements, formulate questions, and design through collaboration.
