薬学実習III
①物理化学的手法を用いて、タンパク質の分子量やコンフォメーションを解析する。二次元NMRスペクトルに基づいて、タンパク質―タンパク質間の相互作用様式を解析する。分子動力学計算により、ペプチドの立体構造と生理活性との相関（構造活性相関）についての考察を行う。②生体高分子であるタンパク質の結晶を調製し、その三次元構造解析をＸ線回折法により行う。③ラットを用いて、トランスポーターを介した薬物の肝胆系輸送における薬物間相互作用を解析する。薬物間相互作用試験データに基づく評価、体内動態パラメーターの変動が医薬品体内動態に与える影響の定量的予測とともに、シミュレーションにより確認を行う。
これらの実習から、物理化学的手法、薬物動態解析法に関する基本的知識と技能を修得する。更にタンパク質や核酸の立体構造の成り立ち、タンパク質とリガンドとの分子間相互作用、動態パラメータと体内動態との関係について理解を深める。

工学の一つの側面は、何かを作ることによって人の生活、社会の営みを豊かにする方法を生み出してゆくための科学的方法を構成してゆく学問である。例えば、エジソンが白熱電球を改良した時代には、他にも白熱電球を改良することに心血を注ぐ技術者はいた。しかし、その中でのエジソンの独自性の一つとして着目されるのは、電球だけではなく様々な電気製品と、そしてこれらの基盤となる電力の供給システムを構築したことであった。即ち、様々な製品とともに、これらの繋がりを構成し、その繋がりによって発揮される機能、その機能が社会と人々の要求 – 潜在的な要求も含めて – を満たす効果を予測した点は、エジソンの卓越した独自性の一つであった。
このように、①新たな要素技術の創造、②要素技術間の結合による要求の実現、という二つの営みを包含する一般的な視点を持ち、そのための基盤的役割を果たす学理について説明するのが「知識と知能」というテーマである。どのような工学分野とも、社会設計あるいは組織経営の手法とも結合することができ、それによって多様な人々からの要求を満たす有益なコンテンツを含んでいる。従って、広く各学部の学生に参照して欲しい。

ゲノム研究の進展により生命科学は仮説駆動型からデータ駆動型の科学に変貌しつつある。このような科学を推進するには、多種多様で複雑なデータや知識を計算機でうまく扱えるようにすることが不可欠である。本講義では、その基礎となる理論や技術について解説する。
With the advancement of genome research, life science is transforming from a hypothesis-driven to a data-driven science. To promote such science, it is essential for computers to be able to successfully handle a wide variety of complex data and knowledge. In this lecture, the underlying theories and techniques will be explained.

文系と理系の歴史
本授業では、西洋の教育思想・教育制度に関する基礎知識として、西洋の古代から近現代までの学問観の思想および制度の歴史を扱う。授業は主に次の二つの部分から構成される。まず、日本では「文系」「理系」、欧米では「二つの文化」といった表現で知られる二元論的な学問観の歴史的形成過程を検討し、そのような学問観が実際の教育制度や研究政策とどのような関わりを持つに至っているのかを確認する。その上で、「文系」「理系」に関連する思想、制度の言説を扱った歴史的史料を実際に閲覧し、読み解くことを通じて、歴史的検証・解釈手法の獲得を目指す。

Science and Technology in International Relations
The objectives of this course are threefold. First, it will focus on how science and technology changed international relations. It argues that the development of science and technology in military, health, navigation and other technologies have impacted on the relationship of interstate power relationship and the civilization. Second, it will focus on how international relationship has shaped and directed the course of science and technology development. In this segment, it will take up space and nuclear technologies of which are subject of export control. Third, it will focus on science and technology changed the structure of international trade, finance and intellectual base. It will argue how science and technology has impacted on international governance
