心理学研究法
この授業では、心理学の研究で広く用いられている研究法について学ぶ。
以下の知識・技能を身に付けることを目標とする。
(1) 心理学における実証的研究方法（量的研究及び質的研究）について、適切な対象に適切な方法を適用できる。
(2) データを用いた実証的な思考方法ができる。
(3) 研究における倫理を理解し遵守する。
In this course, students will study research methods commonly used in psychological research.
The goals of this course are to
(1) apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative research methods to psychological research questions,
(2) develop scientific reasoning based on data, and
(3) understand and adhere to research ethics.

グローバル教養科目（How Culture Works: Experience in body and mind）
This course examines the relationship between the individual and culture through the lens of psychological anthropology. Psychological Anthropology is the study of the interplay between psychology and culture using long-term fieldwork as a method. Classic and recent case studies will be reviewed, such as witchcraft among the Zande of Central Africa, gender in Samoa, psychological development in Japanese pre-schools, anxiety in contemporary Vietnam, the experience of disability in Thailand and Japan, Western Apache language and memory in the Southwestern United States, and regret among Irish former combatants. In addition to in-class participation, students will write short reflections on readings and conduct an ethnographic fieldwork project.
The course will deal with the following SDGs:

10: Reduced Inequality
16: Peace Justice and Strong Institutions

認知・言語の心理学演習
物事を見聞きし，認識し，記憶する，思考する，行動する，言葉を操る。私たちが普段何気なく行うこれらのような認知的活動は，複雑な仕組みの上に成り立っている。認知心理学は，このような人間の認知処理のメカニズムを探究する学問領域である。
この授業では，認知心理学を中心とした研究分野（心理学のほか，人工知能，言語学，哲学，計算機科学，神経科学などが関係しうる）の最新の動向や心理学実験によるアプローチを学ぶことを目的として，以下のいずれかの査読付き論文誌に最近掲載された論文をいくつか選び，講読する。人間の認知処理についての最新の知見に触れると同時に，大局的な視点，もしくは実験心理学的な考え方を養うことが目標である。

Behavioral Science for Public Policy
The goal of this course is to strengthen students’ ability to apply insights from the behavioral sciences to the design of policies and interventions that enhance the well-being of individuals and societies across diverse global contexts. We will pursue this goal by:
- Introducing key origins and recent advances in behavioral science research, drawing from psychology and behavioral economics.
- Critically examining the gaps that persist between research, evidence, and real-world practice.
- Applying core behavioral science theories and strategies to the analysis and design of policies and interventions, with specific policy domains or institutional contexts.
The applications we explore will span multiple domains, including public health, environment, management, education, business, politics, and international development.
This class is not a comprehensive survey of behavioral economics or social psychology. Instead, it offers a curated selection of research and theories that are especially valuable for thinking about practical application.

この授業では，そのうちの特に，多感覚統合，共感覚，感覚間協応などの多感覚的な（視覚，聴覚といった感覚の垣根を超えた）認知処理のメカニズムについて扱う。美感など，一つの感覚では括り切れない認知処理についても触れる。これらの基礎的知識を身につけ，我々が世の中を認識することについての，認知心理学的な観点からの理解を深めることを目標とする。

『ここはどこ？私はだれ？』という言葉は記憶喪失を形容する代表的な台詞であるが、『私』という感覚はいったいどこから来るのだろうか。私たちは普段、自分の身体を当たり前のように自分のものだと感じ、自分の意志で動かしていると信じている。こうした身体的な実感こそが、自己意識の根幹と言える。 本講義では、長らく哲学的なテーマであった『自己意識』や『身体性』、そしてそれらの関係性を、心理学のみならず脳科学の観点から論考を深めていく。
講義の前半では、脳がいかにして自己の身体を認識しているのかを基礎から学ぶ。後半では、バーチャルリアリティなどの身体拡張技術、あるいは精神疾患を含めた失調によって、自己意識がどのように変容するのかを学ぶ。最終的には、自己と他者が関わり合う社会的相互作用の観点にまで議論を広げ、『私とは何か』という問いを多角的に探究する。

この授業では，人の感覚・知覚等の機序及びその障害や，人の認知・思考等の機序及びその障害を扱う。特に，物体の認知，注意，身体と空間の表象，言語の認知処理のメカニズムに焦点を当てる。これらの基礎的知識を身につけ，我々が世の中を認識することについての，認知心理学的な観点からの理解を深めることを目標とする。
