This course is for students who
1. Are interested in practical applications of their research.
2. Believe that some of these applications are new and respond to unmet needs, and that people will be willing to pay for them.
3. Are interested in forming a new company as a sensible way to develop these applications.
The spring semester course, Needs Inspired Inventionニーズに触発された発明, also seeks students who answer “yes” to the same questions. However, University Entrepreneurship, focuses on how to build a new company than can carry forward early stage development quickly and efficiently with benefit to the founders as well as society at large.
