コンテンツ産業，メディア芸術，さらにはメディアコンテンツに関わる学術分野を俯瞰的に講義し，その将来像を探ります。各界を代表するオピニオンリーダーを招き，75分程度の講演の後に，30分程度のグループディスカッションの時間を設けます。

The course provides opportunities for students to interact with expert clients who present them with a problem or challenge that needs to be addressed and to practice working effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Students are asked to make hard choices to produce a thoughtful solution, which requires careful problem identification and the assessment of alternative options.

Introduction to Media Design
Media Design is an exciting and relatively new discipline within the wider context of design. In it researchers and practitioners are interested in exploring new ways to use and deploy digital media technologies to have function, communicate information or present artwork. Designers from a Media Design background often work on or with web design, e-books, data-bases, big data visualisation, smartphone applications, film, animations, digital imaging, art installations, technology products and many other artefacts and systems. Such designers create their ideas utilising digital or electronic formats and the intention is often that the work is created from scratch to be accessed on a digital platform. This course is a first step introduction to Media Design, it is not intended to be a comprehensive class but rather a short and intense introduction to some processes and skills and you may wish to continue your exploration of this discipline in other classes or studies. This is not a heavy lecture based course but rather a seminar, discussion, and hands-on practical class where you will do a lot of learning by doing. You will be working in teams a lot and each week there will be a subject to discuss, learn and try.

農林水産物・食品の高付加価値化を図るためには、植物の新品種、技術開発などの発明（特許）、デザイン（意匠）、商品名などのブランド（商標）、現場の技術やノウハウ、地域ブランドや食文化といった知的財産を戦略的に生み出し、それを経済的価値につなげるとともに、模倣品・海賊版からこれらを守ることが重要である。本講義では、農林水産・食品分野の知的財産を中心に国際的な動向を踏まえながら、その創出・保護・活用に向けた取組みや対策などを解説し、理解を深めることを目的とする。

医学研究データマネジメントとCDISC標準
CDISC(Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium)標準は、治験電子申請用の臨床研究データと付随するメタデータの国際標準として策定され、治験に関しては米国と日本では規制当局により利用が強制されている。また臨床・疫学研究データの電子的収集・データマネージメント・統計解析・アーカイブ化等の全ての場面で活用可能な形に拡張され、将来はアカデミアへの普及も確実視されている。日本では、国際標準の意義、役割、活用についての医学界の認識が不十分である。本講義では、CDISC標準活用によるデータ、ソフト、研究業務の相互運用性の重要性を学ぶとともに、医学と情報学の学際的分野である臨床・疫学研究データマネージメントの実際に触れることを目的とする。

[概要 / Summary]
私達はみなさんに日本だけでなく世界でも活躍できるようになってもらいたいと考えています。そのような思いを背景に、本授業では、「Innovation for Well-being -GDPを超える世界を創り出す挑戦-」をテーマとして、経済成長のみにフォーカスしない事業の提案を行ってもらいます。
授業を通して、これからの時代に必要不可欠となる、仲間と共創する力、イノベーションを創造する力、国際的な仲間と関係性を創り出す力などを培うと同時に、これからの時代の潮流、日本と他国の社会・経済・環境の現状・未来、そして、国際的な共創活動を通じた自分の新たな可能性への理解を深めることができます。
国連開発計画とシティ・ファウンデーションの共催で、起業家エコシステムの強化を目的に、2017年にアジア太平洋地域で発足した若年層の社会起業家コミュニティである Youth Co:Lab の協力も得て、世界的に活躍する若手起業家と交流する機会も設けますので、是非積極的に参加してください。
[本授業の特徴 / Features of the course]
・本授業は、実践を重視する授業で、課題発見・解決をしてもらえるような仕掛けを多く設けます。例えば、世界の潮流、課題の発見の仕方、課題解決の方法、解決策をビジネスとして成り立たせる方法などを体験しながら学べるワークを授業の中に多く組み込みます。
・本授業では、学生と教員の対話、学生同士の対話から学べることが多いと考えるため、ペアワークやグループワークなどアクティブラーニングで学ぶ機会を多く作ります。
・本授業は、全学部生、全大学院生向けに開講するため、新入生から博士学生まで幅広く受講できます。学年が異なる学生との交流の場としても機能させたいと考えていますので、横と縦のつながりを作ってもらえればと思います。
・基本的に日本語で授業を行いますが、中間発表や最終発表では海外の起業家なども呼ぶ予定であることから、英語で発表してもらう予定です。
・Slack を用いて、授業外でも交流できる場を設けます。

Case Study (Japanese Macroeconomic Policy: Solutions to Monetary and Fiscal Policy Challenges)
This course will provide sound basis for research on the Japanese macroeconomic policy (both monetary policy and fiscal policy), with reference to other countries, from the viewpoint of the policy practitioner.
It will cover a wide range of background knowledge from policy framework in theory and practice, economic assessment and data analysis to the current policy settings.

Special Lecture on Global Society I
In this course, students learn about STS (Science, Technology and Society) through case studies. What is this called science? How can we manage the conflicts between S&T and Society? Who are the experts? These questions appear in various issues around us, such as the pandemic of COVID-19, environmental problems, disasters, and governance of emerging technologies. In this course, we learn about, and discuss cases from STS perspectives. Students are required to do their own case analysis in their final report.
