How do young children learn so much about the world, so quickly? A rich body of research has demonstrated that that active engagement with the world is a crucial component of learning: As soon as they can sit or walk, infants spontaneously grab and manipulate objects and approach or avoid people. As language develops, young children ask about the meaning of words, request the labels of objects, and inquire about the many new and puzzling phenomena they encounter. Active learning has been a topic of interest for philosophers, psychologists, cognitive and computer scientists. What is active learning? Are children efficient active learners? Is there a developmental trajectory for active learning? Is active learning better than more passive forms of instruction? This seminar examines these questions across domains such as visual attention, physical reasoning, causal learning, and problem solving. Readings will also address issues in explanation, exploration, and related topics. The seminar includes a mix of lectures, discussions and group activities.

【注意】この授業は開講日程の都合上、成績が所定の確認日より後に公開される見込みが高いので留意すること。特に2年生は本科目の成績が進学選択が可能となる条件に含まれない見込が高いので、履修にあたっては十分に注意すること。 　現代社会において、職場等におけるストレス対策は極めて重大な課題となっている。厚生労働省によれば、強いストレスを感じている労働者は６割にのぼる。メンタルヘルスに不調をきたし休職や離職を余儀なくされる例、新卒就業者が早期に離職する例が多く報告されている。このようなストレス問題は労働者に限ったものではなく、キャンパス内においても無視はできない。東京大学においても、多くの学生が日常的に不安や悩みを抱えており、メンタルヘルスに問題を抱える学生が少なくないことが報告されている。 　このような問題を克服するには、ストレスを生みにくい社会づくりを目指すと同時に、個人のストレス対処能力を高めることも重要である。個人がストレスに対処する上で必要とされる能力として、自らの異変に早く気付けること、そしてそれへの自分なりの解決方法を実行できること、が指摘されている。このような自己対処をセルフケアというが、これはキャンパスライフをより豊かに送るために、また卒業後の人生においても重要な能力となる。 　本講義は、各人のセルフケアの能力向上の支援することを目的に、メンタルヘルスに関わる基礎的知識・応用事例について講義し、体験を通じて身近な環境を活用したセルフケアの可能性を学ぶことを目標とする。 　本講義は、大学院農学生命科学研究科附属演習林富士癒しの森研究所（山梨県山中湖村）が中心となって企画する科目である。富士癒しの森研究所は、2011年より「癒し」を軸に森林環境を社会に活かす実践的研究として「癒しの森プロジェクト」に取り組んできた。2021年度からは、「続・癒しの森プロジェクト」として学内での連携強化を掲げており、本講義はその一環として、医学部附属病院の教員の協力を得て講義を構成する。 　富士癒しの森研究所を拠点とした現地講義は２泊3日を予定している。研究所内に立地する東京大学山中寮内藤セミナーハウスは、東京大学の構成員は誰もが利用することができる（2026年度の本講義の宿泊は別の施設の予定）。本講義を通じて、自然環境や東京大学の施設をフルに活用したセルフケアの可能性を体験していただきたい。 ※受講可能人数：野外実習での安全管理のため40名までとする。受講希望者がこれを上回る場合は抽選を行う。 ※ガイダンス：6月4日（木）5限に第1回講義とともに行う。 ※駒場キャンパスにおける事前講義：9月7日（月）に2コマ実施する。具体的な時間、講義室は受講者に直接連絡する。 ※現地講義開講期間：9月8日（火）に東京での現地講義を実施したのち、富士癒しの森研究所に移動する。9月9日（水）の終日、富士癒しの森研究所での現地講義を行う。9月10日（木）に東京に移動し、東京での現地講義を行う。 ――――――――――――――――――――――――――――― ※この授業は4月8日（水）18：45～20：00にZoomで行われる農学部合同説明会への参加を予定しています。 　ZoomのURLは後日、UTASの掲示板と農学部HPにて周知いたします。 ―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

Media Design is an exciting and relatively new discipline within the wider context of design. In it researchers and practitioners are interested in exploring new ways to use and deploy digital media technologies to have function, communicate information or present artwork. Designers from a Media Design background often work on or with web design, e-books, data-bases, big data visualisation, smartphone applications, film, animations, digital imaging, art installations, technology products and many other artefacts and systems. Such designers create their ideas utilising digital or electronic formats and the intention is often that the work is created from scratch to be accessed on a digital platform. This course is a first step introduction to Media Design, it is not intended to be a comprehensive class but rather a short and intense introduction to some processes and skills and you may wish to continue your exploration of this discipline in other classes or studies. This is not a heavy lecture based course but rather a seminar, discussion, and hands-on practical class where you will do a lot of learning by doing. You will be working in teams a lot and each week there will be a subject to discuss, learn and try.

In this course, students from multidisciplinary backgrounds collaboratively develop innovative, tech-driven solutions to complex societal problems. The course provides opportunities for students to interact with expert clients who present them with a problem or challenge that needs to be addressed and to practice working effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Students are asked to make hard choices to produce a thoughtful solution, which requires careful problem identification and the assessment of alternative options.

民俗学というディシプリンは、他の学問分野と比較して「民俗学とは何か」「民俗学とはどのような学問か」という自己言及的な議論が極めて多いという特質を持っている。なぜ民俗学は常に自らのアイデンティティを問い続けなければならなかったのか。その背景には、対象領域の輪郭の曖昧さや、歴史学、人類学、社会学といった隣接諸科学との境界線をめぐる葛藤、すなわちアカデミズム内部における位置づけの不安定さがあると考えられる。 本授業では、これまで多くの民俗学者たちが書き残してきた「学問論」や「民俗学原論」に関する文献を批判的に講読する。日本民俗学における自己認識の軌跡を主軸としながらも、適宜海外の民俗学における議論も参照し、相対化を試みる。

This course offers an intensive "boot camp" on the Japanese economy, combining basic concepts, current policy issues, and hands‑on work with Japanese economic statistics. It equips students with practical analytical tools, data literacy skills, and conceptual frameworks for understanding Japan’s economic structure and policy debates. By the end of the course, students will have developed a solid toolbox for analyzing economic developments, evaluating statistical evidence, and engaging in informed discussions on major issues in the Japanese economy. The lecture will be delivered by a former chief economist of the government, with over 30 years of professional experience analyzing the Japanese economy and providing briefings on domestic and international economic developments to the Prime Minister and cabinet ministers.

この授業では運動や体力トレーニングによって身体に生じる変化（適応）とその生命科学的メカニズムについて学ぶ。授業は一冊の教科書の内容に沿って進め、学生による主体的な学びと発表を中心に、教員が適宜補足をする形で行う。授業の目標は、運動に対する身体の適応とそのメカニズムについて幅広い知識を身につけ、それらを他者に簡潔にわかりやすく説明できるようになること、さらには自らの生活に役立たせることできるようになることである。
