持続可能な未来を拓く変革の学習・教育
あなたにとって、わたしたちにとって、「持続可能性」とは、「教育」「学習」とは、「変革」とは、なんだろうか。この科目では、ESD（持続可能な開発のための教育）やシティズンシップ教育の概念と、わたしたちが生きる社会のあり方を探索しつつ、持続可能な未来へ向けた人間や社会の変容・変革プロセスとしての教育・学習について考え、この問いに自分なりの答えを導きだすことを目指す。
What do “education,” “learning,” “sustainability,” and "transformation" mean for you, and for all of us? In this course, we will explore this question by looking into the concept of education for sustainable development (ESD) and citizenship education, and reviewing the world that we live in, while discussing education and learning as a transformative process of people and society.

教育が普及すればするほど環境はなぜ悪化するのか。もしそうであればそのような教育にどんな価値があるのであろう ー 環境教育やESDの論客であるDavid Orrが私たちにこう問いかけたのは30年ほど前である（'Earth in Mind'）。この授業では、この問いを基層に据え、履修者が各々の答えを探究していく。上記の問いの他にも幾つかの〈正答のない問い〉を共有し、それぞれの思索を深める契機とする。講義内容のテキスタイルとして、縦糸として「教育開発」を、横糸として「環境」や「持続可能性（サスティナビリティ）」などのグローバルな課題を設け、人類にとって喫緊の問題である気候変動（気候危機）などのサブトピックも織り込んでいく。 また、ポスト・コロナ時代における教育の在り方を国内外の理論や原理、実践も紹介しながら考察を深める。

持続可能なユーザーインターフェースデザイン
This course explores Design Thinking for achieving Sustainable User Interfaces, with a focus on applying interdisciplinary perspectives to design practices. Students will join ongoing international research and design activities through online participation. Two invited guest researchers—Prof. Umut Tasa Yurtsever (Turkey) and Nirit Binyamini Ben-Meir (UK)—will alternate in leading presentations and project discussions, with additional contributions from other design experts.
The course builds on Prof. Hiroki Kobayashi’s research on Human-Computer-Biosphere Interaction (HCBI), which expands Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) into the ecological domain by enabling non-invasive, non-verbal interaction between humans and ecosystems. This theoretical foundation provides a basis for exploring how sustainable user interfaces can be designed and implemented.

統合物質科学俯瞰講義Ⅰ
広く産学官にわたってグローバルに活躍するために必要な「俯瞰力」を養成することを目指す。物質科学の各分野について最先端の知識を修得し、自分の専門分野と周辺分野がどのように関連するか、あるいはし得るか、について深く考察するために、第一線で活躍する講師の方々にその分野の最前線を概観していただく。さらに、それらの講義を通して異分野間のコミュニケーションを円滑に進めるための具体的方法論を学ぶ。
This survey course is designed to enable students to develop the broad perspective that is required of global leaders working in and across industry, academia, and government. Students will gain knowledge and insight on advancements in each field of materials science research, given by leading researchers working on the frontline in those fields. This will allow students to consider how peripheral fields are related to their own area of expertise, and to consider the potential for forging bridges between related fields in the future. In addition, students will learn specific methodologies designed to facilitate smooth communication among different disciplines.
