# 数値解析

You might have had enough experience of solving equations and carrying out calculations for derivatives and integrals by hands. But computations required for practical purposes such as weather forecasting, design of airplanes, and simulation of physical phenomena are too large-scaled and complicated for calculation by hands. In such cases we resort to numerical computation by computers. Numerical computation by computers is certainly a power methodology, but at the same time it has a natural limitation. In this lecture we explain fundamental issues in numerical computation with particular emphasis on its practical use. It is desirable to have some familiarity with computer programing.
