グローバル教養科目(Global Tokyo)

Global Tokyo
Tokyo, a city with a rich history, has long been considered a “global city.” However, we are currently witnessing a multi-faceted change in what defines Tokyo's “global" status. This evolution is not just a matter of change, but a significant shift that holds great importance. How is Tokyo changing, and what are the new challenges that lie ahead? These are the questions that will guide our exploration in this course.
In this semester-long course, we explore the current state of Tokyo through four pillars: policy, business, education, and culture. Classes will consist of lectures by the instructor and guest lectures. Concurrently, students will choose one of the four pillars and work on group projects throughout the semester (including field work), and present the results at the end of the semester. (Details to be provided in the first class)
