This course introduces psychological approaches for improving health and well-being. Topics covered in the class will include, for example, inadequate sleep, health risk behaviors, stress and health and positive psychology.

授業計画
Course Schedule The pace of the course may change based on the level of the students in the class. The schedule below is suggested for an average level class. Session 1: Course Introduction, Internet Research, Plagiarism and Goal Setting Session 2: Inadequate Sleep Session 3: Health Risk Behaviors Session 4: Development Through Life Session 5: Stress and Health Session 6: Social Behavior Session 7: Positive Psychology Session 8: Group project 1 (researching a topic and creating a lecture) Session 9: Group project 1 (presenting the lecture and class discussion) Session 10: Group project 1 (presenting the lecture and class discussion) Session 11: Group project 2 (researching a topic and creating a lecture) Session 12: Group project 2 (presenting the lecture and class discussion) Session 13: Group project 2 (presenting the lecture and class discussion)

成績評価方法
Please check the grading scale that applies to this course. If the Course Code ends without “-P/F”, this is a course with a letter grade (A+, A, B, C, F). If the Course Code ends with “-P/F”, this is a Pass/Fail Course. Evaluation Evaluation Details: Group projects 80%: Evaluation Details: Group project 1 = 35%; Group project 2 = 45%. In-Class Performance = 20% Evaluation Details: Active class participation (e.g., asking questions, participating in class discussions).
