全学自由研究ゼミナール (Reimagining Gender and Sexuality in East Asia)

Reimagining Gender and Sexuality in East Asia
What is gender? What is sexuality? How can we understand and conceptualise them in the East Asian social context? By focusing on key societies in the East Asian region, such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, North and South Korea, Vietnam and Mongolia, this course introduces students to the field of gender and sexuality.

Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of how gender and sexuality are constructed and consequently unfolded in highly developed, developing and emerging societies and economies in the context of social transformation, modernisation and globalisation.
