The purpose of this course is to deepen students’ understanding of political, economic, and social issues in East Asia through multidisciplinary analysis. The course is offered in an omnibus format and focuses on a variety of ongoing policy issues, including field visits to policy-making institutions and guest lectures.
This course is primarily designed for students participating in the Campus Asia Program. Through this course, students will have opportunities to interact with peers from partner universities and to broaden their perspectives on public policy issues in the region.
本コースは、東アジアにおける政治・経済・社会に関わる諸課題について、学際的な観点から理解を深めることを目的とする。講義はオムニバス形式で行われ、官公庁等へのフィールド訪問や実務家によるゲスト講義を通じて、現在進行中の多様な政策課題を取り扱う。
本コースはCampus Asiaプログラム参加学生を主たる対象とする。履修学生は、本コースを通じて協定大学からの留学生との交流機会を活かし、東アジアの公共政策課題に対する視野を広げることが期待される。

授業計画
This course is held during the A1–A2 semester. As this is a two-credit course, the class will meet for two consecutive periods on approximately six Mondays during the semester. Accordingly, the class will not meet every Monday, but will follow an ad hoc schedule customized for field visits and guest lectures. Students are strongly advised to attend the first class, at which the detailed schedule will be provided. The preliminary plan of the class (subject to change) includes:
・Orientation
・Guest lectures
・Group discussion
・Field trips.
本コースは A1–A2 学期に開講する。時間割表上は月曜2–3限となっているが、2単位科目であるため、計6回程度、不定期に月曜同時限（2限連続）に開講する。具体的な開講日程は、フィールド訪問やゲスト講義の内容に応じて決定し、初回授業で通知する。詳細日程については初回授業で説明するため、履修を希望する学生は初回授業に必ず出席すること。

履修上の注意
For this semester, this course is offered primarily to current and prospective CAMPUS Asia Program (CAP) students. Non-CAP students, including those who plan to apply for the CAP, may be required to submit English proficiency test scores (e.g., TOEFL) for screening. Non-CAP students who wish to enroll in this course are required to attend the first session, where details of the screening will be explained.
Students who have already received credit for “CAMPUS Asia Joint Course: International Public Policy in East Asia” (5135031) are not eligible to take this course.
この科目は、原則、キャンパスアジア・プログラムに所属する学生に向けて開講する。非キャンパスアジア・プログラム生（同プログラムに応募予定の学生を含む）は英語スコア（TOEFLなど）により履修を制限されることがある。履修制限の詳細については、初回授業で説明するため、非キャンパスアジア生は必ず初回授業に出席すること。
なお、すでに「CAMPUS Asia Joint Course: International Public Policy in East Asia」で単位を取得した学生は履修することはできない。
