Project-Based Learning on Technological Innovation and Social Solutions
In this course, students from multidisciplinary backgrounds collaboratively develop innovative, tech-driven solutions to complex societal problems. The course provides opportunities for students to interact with expert clients who present them with a problem or challenge that needs to be addressed and to practice working effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Students are asked to make hard choices to produce a thoughtful solution, which requires careful problem identification and the assessment of alternative options.

授業の方法
The first session will involve introductions to the faculty and expert clients and an explanation of how to write a proposal memo – the final deliverable for the course. The second to fifth sessions will consist of lectures by the expert clients. In the sixth session, teams of students will be asked to present drafts of their proposals, and they will receive feedback and suggestions from the faculty. In the last session, teams will give final presentations, sharing their revised proposals with their clients, the faculty, and their classmates.
