Case Study (Project Based Learning on the Technological Innovation and the Social Solutions)
This class is the PBL (project base learning exercise) for public policy. Students hear the perspectives and concerns of stakeholders in the various fields combining technological and institutional/ policy innovation and and are asked to work collaboratively as a group for the problem definition and identifying and assessing policy options concerning public policies., and comparison of those options

授業計画
1st day: Lectures by stakeholders including business leaders and policy makers in fields such as medical domain, economic development and social innovation. Collaborative work by groups continue afterwards. 2nd day: Lectures by stakeholders including business leaders and policy makers in fields such as medical domain, economic development and social innovation. Collaborative work by groups continue afterwards. 3rd day: Interim report by groups. 4th day: Final presentation and comments by practitioners.
授業の方法
Lectures, discussion and group works. Former politicians, bureaucrats in the ministries, international organizations, businessmen and NPO staff will participate in the class as experts with their own problems. Students groups are expected to propose solutions to the problems brought by those practitioners.
