International Politics in East Asia

International Politics in East Asia: US-China Rivalry and its Impacts on Regional Order
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of international politics in East Asia. It covers both specific regional issues, such as the U.S.-China rivalry, the Taiwan issue, the Korean Peninsula issue, and the South China Sea dispute, as well as broader themes, including the historical formation of regional order, Japan’s evolving role, and newly emerging transnational challenges.

履修上の注意
・The classroom is located on the 3rd floor at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia (Tobunken) on Hongo campus. ・Enrollment is limited to 12 students. Students must attend the first class meeting and submit a short assignment to get permission to register for the course.
