International Humanitarian Law Role Play
この授業は、履修学生が国際人道法に興味を持ち、柔軟なコミュニケーション能力を要するロールプレイという形式を使って国際人道法をテーマにアジア各国からプログラムに参加する学生達とコミュニケーションし、ネットワークを構築することを目的とする。
英語の弁論、パブリックスピーキング、ロールプレイの技術についての講義、実践練習を行い、赤十字国際委員会主催の国際人道法ロールプレイ大会（アジア大会）に出場・オブザーバー参加する。ここで選抜されたメンバーとオブザーバーが本国際研修を履修できる。マレーシア・クアラルンプールで行われるアジア大会に出場する。
現時点で国際人道法ロールプレイ大会（アジア大会）が開催されるかどうかは、コロナウィルスの感染状況と関連の旅行制限によるため、明らかでない。アジア大会がオンライン開催になった場合はオンラインで出場する。万が一アジア大会が中止になった場合は、国内研修（主にオンライン）の後、来春の世界大会を目指すものとする。
This course aims to get registered students to gain interest and useful knowledge of International Humanitarian Law, build the capacity of registered students to display their knowledge through role play, and assist them build an international network through joining the International Committee of the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Role Play competition (Asia round).
At the moment, it is not clear whether or not IHL Role Play competition will be cancelled due to Corona virus and related travel restrictions. If the Competition is held on-line, the team will register to participate in the on-line competition. If the IHL Role Play (Asia round) is cancelled, registered students will train in International Humanitarian Law and aim at participating in the IHL world competition in Spring 2021.

International Humanitarian Law role play practice
ICRC International Humanitarian Law Role Play competition Asia round participation (competitors and observers)
演習は履修者との相談の上、日時を決定します。ロールプレイ大会（アジア大会）のためのマレーシアへの渡航は11月13日から16日の予定です。
For practice, dates and times will be decided upon consultation with registered students. The trip to Malaysia for the purpose of participating in the Role Play competition (Asia Round) is scheduled between 13 and 16 November.

コロナウィルスの感染状況、渡航制限などにより、内容を変えて国内研修として行う可能性があります。
この授業は英語授業です。国際研修への参加の人数制限のため、ガイダンスには必ず出席してください。出席できない場合は事前にメールで担当教員に連絡をください。選抜がある可能性があります。
Depending on the situation surrounding COVID-19 and travel restrictions, the content of this course may change.
This course will be conducted in English. Due to limited seats for the competition, there may be a selection process. Please make sure to attend the guidance on 28 September. If you wish to register for this class but cannot attend the guidance, please send the instructor an e-mail beforehand.
実務経験と授業科目の関連性
担当教員は主に国連において、国際人権法・国際人道法・国際刑法を駆使して人権侵害や国際人道法違反の被害者を救済する職務を行っていた。この授業においては、国際法の学術的な理解だけでなく、実務において直面した諸々の問題への理解と経験を踏まえ、実践的な国際法の学びを促進する。
The instructor of the course has worked mostly in the United Nations in the area of International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law. This course aims at promoting not only academic understanding of the law but also practical application to real issues.
