Principles of Macroeconomics
This course aims to provide first-time learners of economics with solid foundations for understanding introductory macroeconomics. To this end, students will learn basic concepts in macroeconomics, such as GDP, unemployment, inflation, exchange rates and, based on them, how to use workhorse macroeconomic models to analyze consequences of a variety of economic shocks and policy interventions.
By taking this course, students are expected to be knowledgeable about the functioning of the macroeconomy and to be able to understand and criticize economic news and policy measures.

成績評価方法
Your final course grade will be determined based on your homework (problem sets), and final exam scores. 50 percent is given for each. Further, your class-participation is also taken into account (The detailed instructions on "class-contribution points" will be provided in the first class of the course).
