経済人類学とアフリカ Economic Anthropology and Africa
This course introduces students to the concepts and case studies of economic anthropology. We will review selected papers related to economic anthropology and development of Africa.

This course is designed to cover the following topics:
1) Community, Market and Culture
2) Economy as the Base
3) Sharing the Base
4) Reciprocity and the Gift
5) Malinowski on the Kula
6) Economizing and Rational Behavior
7) The Potlatch System of the Southern Kwakiutl
8) Exchange and Investment among the Tiv
9) Social Context of Economic Choice
10) Developing Africa
11) Africa's People
12) Urban Africa
13) African Economies
We may adjust some of the topics after discussion with students.
授業の方法
Teaching Methods will combine seminar, presentation and discussion. Medium of instruction will be combination of both English and Japanese.
授業方式は、学生による発表とディスカッション中心になる。
講義の使用言語は、英語と日本語になる。
成績評価方法
学生発表課題（５０％）、授業への貢献度（５０％）

学生主体の授業を目指す。
