Information, Technology, and Society in Asia 401

Introduction to Information Technology
This course is designed to help students who have no technical background to acquire basic knowledge, skills, and self-confidence which are necessary to live as a responsible citizen in this information age and to analyze modern Asian societies that are increasingly dependent on information and communication technologies.
Lectures will be accompanied by hands-on sessions.

This course is provided in principle for the ITASIA program's students at the GSII, but other students' registration may be negotiable in the first class considering the total number of students. For those enrolled in the ITASIA Master's program, this course is one of the required courses. Each participant is required to have a PC and reliable Internet connection.
