現代情報理論／ Modern Information Theory
情報理論は数理情報学の様々な分野に応用を持つ重要な概念である。本講義では、主に応用先の一つである暗号理論を例に取り、情報理論の概念をどのように活用するかを紹介する。

授業計画
シャノンエントロピー、Rényiダイバージェンス、統計距離、最小エントロピーなどの情報理論的諸概念の紹介と、それらの情報理論、暗号・情報セキュリティなどの分野における応用について説明する。より詳しい講義計画については講義時間中に随時案内する。
This lecture explains information theoretic notions such as Shannon entropy, Rényi divergence, statistical distance, min-entropy etc.; and their applications to information theory, cryptography and information security, etc. More details will be announced in the lecture.
授業の方法
英語のスライドを使用し、基本的に日本語で講義する予定である。ただし、講義後に英語の動画を配布する。
The lecture will be given basically in Japanese with English slides. However, English videos will be distributed after the lecture.
成績評価方法
学期末のレポート課題により成績を評価する。
The grade will be evaluated by the report at the end of semester.
