社会文化環境学概論

環境学は「学融合」がもっとも必要な分野である。その中で、社会文化環境学専攻では、建築・都市・地域から地球に至る規模での環境評価、変化予測、管理手法および人間活動に関する研究と教育を行っている。特に本専攻の特徴は、工・文融合を通した「環境学」の構築を推進している点にあり、その体系の概要を講義する。人が生活する場としてのさまざまなスケールの物理的空間およびそこに生まれる社会や培われた文化を環境の一要素としてとらえ、より良い環境を形成するために何が出来るか、何をすべきかを、さまざまな立場から論じるのが本講義の目的である。
Environmental studies is a field in which "transdisciplinary study" is most necessary. In this context, the Department of Socio-Cultural Environmental Studies conducts research and education on environmental assessment, change prediction, management methods, and human activities on a scale ranging from architecture, cities, and regions to the earth. In particular, a characteristic of this department is that it promotes the construction of "environmental studies" through the integration of engineering and humanities. The purpose of this lecture is to discuss what can be done and what should be done to form a better environment from various perspectives, considering the physical space of various scales as a place where people live, and the society and culture that are created and cultivated there, as elements of the environment.
