サステイナビリティ学の基礎

サステイナビリティ学の基礎/ Fundamentals of Sustainability Science
Sustainability science is an interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand the interactions between human society and the natural environment with the goal of promoting sustainable development. It integrates knowledge from various disciplines such as ecology, economics, sociology, political science, and others to address complex environmental, social, and economic challenges. However, it is not established as one discipline or one coherent theory.

Sustainability science also emphasises the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between different disciplines and stakeholder engagement in finding solutions to sustainability challenges. This lecture teaches the students 11 topics related to sustainability science. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, this module aims to nurture the capacity of the students to work towards creating more holistic and effective approaches to addressing environmental and social issues at local, regional, and global scales.
