本スタジオはMemu Earth Lab（北海道大樹町）を拠点として行う、シンガポール国立大（NUS Cities/Landscape Architecture）との合同スタジオです。原則英語で行います。現地に向かう前にインターネット上の情報で下調べを行うRead、現地において自らの身体で土地／資源の再読を行うRe-Read、そして現地での経験を本質的な問いに還元させるMake Questionsの３つのプロセスを通じて、都市と農村との持続的なかかわり方について考究します。

〇旅費と宿泊費の支援 Financial Support
Travel costs to and from Memu, and accommodation fees at the site will be covered by Memu Earth Lab.
〇履修者選定プロセス Selection Process
Due to the limited budget, If more than 8 students are registered, we will conduct an interview for the selection. NUS also will choose the 7 students.
〇スケジュール Scheduel
April – May ４～５月
After course registration, we will proceed with the student selection (to be within 7 members) if needed.履修登録後、必要に応じて選抜を行います。
Mid-May – June ５月中旬～６月
Online guidance session for selected students will be held. Kenya from NUS will join it. We will hand in an assignment which should be finished before going Memu. The date staying Memu will be fixed.
NUSスタッフに同席してもらい、オンラインで説明会を行います。履修生に事前課題を出します。この時点で日程を確定します。

We are currently discussing a schedule that will allow both NUS and UTokyo to participate.
Studio in Memu will be held.
芽武にてスタジオを実施します。
授業の方法
•事前学習として、公開されている空間情報を用いて芽武の基礎情報を整理する。このプロセスはオンラインで進行する。
As an assignment before the intensive class, the participants will analyze the site using maps, statistics, and documents available on the Internet (Process 1). This process will proceed as an online-based work.
•芽武における集中滞在期間中は多国籍メンバーで4～5名程度のチームを作り、グループワーク（フィールド調査、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーションの作成）を行う。
In Memu, we will form 3-4 multinational teams with 4-5 students each for the group work. Each group will work on field surveys, discussions, and making presentations according to their shared interest (Process 2).
•集中期間の最後にグループ毎に成果発表を行い、講評を受ける。
The last day of the intensive class will be the final presentation, an opportunity to receive critiques from faculty members (Process 3).
成績評価方法
・事前学習の深度、集中期間中の参加態度、グループワークへの貢献度、発表の質などを総合的に評価する
Grade evaluation will be done considering the quality of your prior assignment, contribution to the group work, and the quality of the final presentation.

７月２６日～８月４日のすべての日程において芽武で活動できる履修生のみ受講可能です。
Only the student who can join the whole schedule of Memu’s working days (Tentatively July 26 to August 4) can take this course.

使用言語は原則英語だが、日本語を使用する機会も多いため（現地でのヒアリングなど）、チーム内でサポートし合うことを期待する。
The primary language is English, but there are many opportunities to use Japanese (e.g. when talking with local people). We expect to support each other in the team.
