Introduction to Climate-related Finance and Information Disclosure/気候関連金融と情報開示概論
1. Objectives
1) The objective of this course is to have an overview of why global warming has
recently become a pressing issue, to understand the role of finance and information
disclosure for climate-change mitigation and adaptation, and to learn some
methodology and framework on how to evaluate the quality of climate-related
information disclosure (like TCFD) and for measuring and reducing GHG emissions.
2) The lecturer has been engaging in climate-related finance at public banks and an
international organization for a long time and is now working for a consultancy
service on climate-related agenda. Another objective of this course is to share the
latest topics and outlook in this field with students.

授業の方法
Lectures and discussions. There will be mandatory weekly home assignments (writing a short essay (a half page of A4) based on a given topic by each class).
成績評価方法
Based on 30% by attendance and 70% by submissions of home assignments.
教科書
No textbook will be used. Typed lecture notes will be circulated. Relevant documents will be introduced in the lecture notes.
