ライフサイエンスと関わりをもつ化学系薬学やケミカルバイオロジー研究を行うために必須な化学体系を、実際の研究例を元に学びます。先端的化学系薬学は、低分子有機化合物から生体高分子(核酸・タンパク質など)までの広い範囲の有機分子を研究対象として用い、原子・分子レベルでの生体機能の制御や解析を行なう学際的研究領域です。そのため本講義では、生物活性をもつ有機分子の合成法や有機分子の生体機能解析への応用法などを幅広く取り上げます。
The concept of pharmaceutical chemistry and chemical biology for life science studies will be lectured along with some recent research examples. State-of-the-art pharmaceutical chemistry and chemical biology are interdisciplinary studies for elucidating the function of living cells and animals based on organic chemistry by using low molecular weight organic compounds and high molecular weight biopolymers such as nucleic acids and proteins. Therefore, in this lecture, a wide field of researches including the syntheses of biologically active organic small molecules, and the design and the application of organic functional molecules for analyzing responses of living cells and animals will be taken up.
