Towards the end of this course, students are expected to work with other students in the same course planning a final presentation, which will be given in the last session (13th of November). Student groups will select an issue in the age of globalization, which is related to health, and discuss the possible effect on the global population. For example, globalization is associated with the increase in air travels and carbon footprints resulting in climate change. Climate change can directly and indirectly affect human health. Another example is human mobility. People flows can affect ecosystem, which leads to larger effect on the earth and human health. Globalized human mobility also accelerated the spread of infectious diseases. Based on these examples, students may come up with the main topic of their presentation.
