4. Nutrition, Growth, and Behavior (2)
5. Environment, Culture, and Health (1)
6. Environment, Culture, and Health (2)
7. Health Systems
8. Quality of Healthcare Services
9. Research Ethics
10. Implementation study
Through these lectures, students are expected to understand why a community is an important concept for health among people living in low- and middle-income countries and discuss how community-based research should be implemented.
Then, students are expected to be actively involved in case studies. Students will be asked to select one of the cases in global health from 1) maternal, newborn, and child health and 2) immigrant health. After reading the case, they will discuss and list up possible interventions that improve the situation described in the case, choose one of the most promising and/or feasible interventions, and design the intervention study.
