Microorganisms in Environments

Microorganisms are invisible living organisms but play important roles in not only natural but also artificially-designed environments on our planet. This class is designed for foreign students who have not learned “Microbiology” and “Environmental Microbiology” well. This class organized by seven series lectures including general introduction on microorganisms, specific behaviors of microorganisms in environment, specific experimental methods in Environmental Microbiology, and microorganisms under specific conditions. Through the class, students learn the diversity of microorganisms themselves and their functions. The knowledges provided in this class will be bases for more detailed topics of Environmental Microbiology and Microbial Ecology.
