事例研究（科学技術イノベーション政策研究）Case Study (Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy)

科学技術イノベーション政策について、官公庁や調査研究機関等において政策形成やそのために必要なエビデンスの構築に携わる知識を学び、科学技術イノベーション政策を研究する際に重要な論点を俯瞰する。
加えて、これらを実践知とするため、科学技術イノベーション政策について、政策プロセス・制度またはエビデンス構築を対象に、グループワークを中⼼とした事例研究を⾏う。各学⽣には、個別の専門領域に閉じることなく、文理融合・学術分野横断的な協働を通じて問題解決を図り、政策を企画⽴案分析する素養の体得を期待する。

This course is designed to develop necessary skills for collecting and anlayzing evidence for public policy-making at government agencies and research institutions, as well as to overview basic issues on science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy research. Students are encouraged to learn across academic disciplines; they are expected to work with other students from different departments/schools toward problem-solving and develop necessary skills for dealing with public issues and planning/evaluating public policy.

授業の方法

各分野の第⼀線で活躍する研究者による講義（前半）と、グループワーク（後半）による科学技術イノベーションに関連する政策課題についての分析・検討を⾏う。

In the first half of the course, prominent scholars and practitioners in the field of STI policy will provide lectures in order to develop studentsʼ fundamental understanding of such policies. In the latter half, students (in groups) will work on case studies to consider issues related to STI and analyze evidence for particular public policy issues.
成績評価方法
授業への参加状況 （発表、発言、ディスカッションの積極性など）、グループ発表およびレポートグループ発表およびレポート
Class contribution group presentation and report.
レポートは、講義とグループワークに基づき、各受講生単位で作成し、提出すること。
Each student is expected to submit a report based on the lectures and group-work exercise.

授業使用言語が日英となってますが、基本的に講義は英語で行います。
Although the course description indicates that both Japanese and English are used, the lectures will primarily be conducted in English
