Overview of biodevice technology covering from basic principles to advanced topics
The objectives of this lecture are to learn the fundamental knowledge to realize bio
devices such as fabrication method, design principle, and analytical method. In
addition, in order to study how to apply those technologies or install the devices to
real products effectively, micro chemical analysis systems, an organ on a chip,
micro-reactors, medical inspection system are picked up and their challenges,
solutions, pros and cons are discussed respectively.

As handouts will be distributed before the lecture, students are expected to engage actively in class discussions. For preparation, keep an eye on recent trends in bio-medical devices and review the basic definitions of the provided keywords. After each session, there will be an assignment to analyze the pros, cons, and challenges of the discussed technologies.
