Natural Resource Economy: on Mining Industries
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the socio-economic issues surrounding natural resource development, with a primary focus on metallic mineral resources, and introduces fundamental analytical methodologies. While the curriculum covers market-related topics within the context of resource security and general project evaluation, particular emphasis is placed on the unique characteristics inherent to resource development projects. Furthermore, by examining environmental and social impacts specifically relevant to this field, students will deepen their understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance and the industry's contributions to the SDGs.

Lecture may include basic exercises. 授業の方法
In principle, lectures will be conducted in person and will follow a traditional classroom format. There are few plans for group work or collaborative activities.
成績評価方法
Attendance Check including small assignments in each class and final report
履修上の注意
No specific textbook is required; instructional materials will be distributed in class. Rather than prior preparation, students are encouraged to focus on post-lecture review, which can be effectively conducted in conjunction with the preparation of assigned reports.
