光計測工学

Light enables the transfer of energy to an object without physical contact and can induce a remarkably wide range of interactions, from conversion into thermal energy to direct excitation of electronic energy states. It is therefore one of the essential forms of energy for realizing today's advanced engineering technologies.

This course focuses on optical measurement technologies, in which light energy serves as a carrier of measurement information. The course provides an overview of the fundamental theories of optics underlying these technologies and introduces state-of-the-art optical measurement applications through a series of selected topics.

By studying advanced optical measurement applications based on modern optical theories and real-world examples, students will develop the ability to conceive and apply new ideas to emerging engineering applications.

The first half of the course will consist primarily of lectures, while the second half will be conducted in the form of student-led journal-club-style seminars.
