機械工学特別講義II
「流体応力場の物理と再構成(Fluid Stress Fields: Physics and Reconstruction)」
This course, "Fluid Stress Fields: Physics and Reconstruction," aims to provide an understanding of the physics of stress and pressure fields in fluid flows, as well as the theories and methodologies for reconstructing these fields from observable data. While conventional fluid measurements have primarily focused on velocity fields, this course adopts a perspective that directly addresses stress fields in order to achieve a more fundamental understanding of fluid phenomena.
The course begins with a review of the governing equations of fluid mechanics and the stress tensor, emphasizing how stresses are generated and transported within fluid flows. It then introduces the relationship between physical quantities and observational data obtained through optical measurement techniques, such as polarized-light imaging and photoelasticity, thereby clarifying the process of inferring physical quantities from experimental observations. Furthermore, the course covers the basic concepts of three-dimensional reconstruction and inverse problem analysis, providing a theoretical framework for estimating stress fields in fluids.
Integrating concepts from fluid mechanics, measurement science, and numerical analysis, this course aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of both the physics of fluid stress fields and modern approaches for reconstructing physical quantities from measurement data.
