産業界および学術界のイノベーションリーダーとなる基礎素養や専門知識に加え，リテラシー(コミュニケーション，マネージメント能力等)とコンピテンシー（リーダーシップ，強い責任感と使命感等）を涵養する．社会が求める「高い専門性と幅広い知識と応用力」を身につけることを目的とする．産業界との連携による講義．
The program aims to cultivate internationally competitive young researchers equipped with Literacy and Competency to become future leaders in industry and academia. This education program will foster human resources with multidisciplinary application skills, in addition to the in-depth research in specialized fields. Based on the social requirements, graduate school students require the ability to work in a broader spectrum and apply one’s skills to a multidisciplinary setting.

Regarding the internship theme and the guidance, please refer to GMSI HP <http://gmsi.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp>/***** . Applicants are required to contact GMSI Program Office <*****> by e-mail. 企業からの課題を解決するインターンシップ．修士は2ヶ月以上，博士は3ヶ月以上の実習期間を基本とする．具体的な実施時期，期間，課題については個別に相談の上決定する．所定の要件を満たした場合には、「工学コンピテンシーⅡ (3799-147)(2単位)」にて単位認定が可能. Internship is a great opportunity for students to apply their skills and knowledge to variety of company’s research themes. Basically, length of internship is more than 2 months for master’s course students, more than 3 months for doctoral course students. The detail of internship such as starting timing, length of internship and theme will be fixed after individual counseling.
