The goal of this course for students is to learn basic theory and modeling techniques for urban transportation analysis, particularly traffic flow theory, transportation network analysis, and travel behavior analysis.

授業計画
The lectures of this course will cover (1) traffic flow and transportation network analysis, and (2) travel behavior analysis, for urban and transportation planning. Therefore, the class consists of two chapters for these two topics. Along with the lectures, students will conduct exercises to actually apply the learned techniques to solve realistic problems in urban transportation. The details are provided in “Class Schedule.”

Lectures and programming exercises.
成績評価方法
Evaluation will be done based on individual assignments as well as group projects.
Grades will be weighted according to the number of class sessions, with Chapter 1 accounting for 35% and Chapter 2 for 65%.
履修上の注意
Course materials will be shared through a Google Drive folder, and students can use the slides and source codes for pre- and post-class reviews.
