講義は英語で実施する。 Lectures will be given in English.

小テストか宿題の結果を基に成績をつける。 Each time a small exercise test or a homework problem will be given. Grade will be estimated according to these tests/problems.

For the first part by E. Lötstedt, lecture material will be distributed as a pdf file. For the second part by T. Sasaki lecture material will also be distributed as a PDF file. As a reference book: “Quanta, Matter, and Change: A molecular approach to physical chemistry” by Peter Atkins, Julio de Paula, and Ronald Friedman, Oxford University Press (2009)　の第19章、第20章、第21章． Chapters 19, 20, and 21 in “Quanta, Matter, and Change: A molecular approach to physical chemistry” by Peter Atkins, Julio de Paula, and Ronald Friedman, Oxford University Press (2009). 参考書として用いる。GCOEで購入した２０冊が化学科図書室においてあり、１８冊が貸し出し可能。

講義は英語で実施される。全７回出席し、各回の小テストを受けることが必要である。 Lectures will be given in English. Attendance for all seven lectures with having a small exercise at each time is required.
