プラズマ物理学特論Ⅰ

プラズマ波動物理学 Plasma Wave Physics
The objective of this course is to establish a rigorous theoretical foundation in the physics of waves in magnetized plasmas. Students will learn the mathematical frameworks required to characterize wave propagation, absorption, and mode conversion. Kinetic theory will be introduced to describe macroscopic plasma behavior from microscopic particle dynamics. Wave-particle interactions and kinetic transport theory will be introduced. By the end of the course, students will be able to analytically predict complex wave behavior and be ready to use numerical tools to solve realistic problems in high temperature plasmas.

履修上の注意
物理学の基礎(古典力学、電磁気学、統計力学)を十分に習得していることが必要である。プラズマ物理学の基礎知識を有していることが望ましい。 A solid background in basic physics (classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and statistical mechanics) is essential. Familiarity with introductory plasma physics is recommended.
