Environmental Management and Policy IV

Law and the Environment
This course will be carried out online unless otherwise noticed.

This course aims to explore major issues of law and the environment from the law-and-society perspective. We will deal with environmental issues, with comparative analysis and global/transnational socio-legal perspectives. We will consider the connection between law and science as well. Students are expected to participate in discussions and presentations in classes. International students are expected to describe the current system in home countries on issues raised in the course.

授業の方法
This course emphasizes discussion and presentation. Each student is expected to read materials before the class, participate in discussions, and carry out an in-class presentation.
成績評価方法
Grading will be based on class participation, including an in-class presentation (50%) and one single-spaced 10-page-minimum term paper submitted as an attached file, due on 31 January 2022 (50%).

参考書
Reference books will be suggested in classes.
