Environmental Measurement and Evaluation III

Week 1. (4 Oct.) Introduction & assignment (on-line) Week 2-Week 13. Presentation & Discussion Each student has to give a presentation (at least once) about a journal article (ideally published in top-journals or authoritative textbooks) related to evolution, ecology and/or behavior. He/she is required to prepare for the presentation so that students who are not familiar with specific topics can understand and discuss them. Therefore, reading several other related papers will be necessary.

Presentation & Discussion: each week a student first makes a Power-Point presentation (45 min) about a target paper s/he selects. After the presentation we discuss about the article and related topics (45 min). All students have to be informed about the target article three days prior to the class (through email). Other students should then read it throughly.

Student progress will be evaluated via attendance, presentation and discussion.

It is preferable (not necessary) that attendants have basic knowledge about evolutionary/behavioral ecology.
