財政と国家債務危機 / Public Finance and Sovereign Debt Crisis
現在、日本をはじめとする主要先進国や多くの発展途上国において、高水準の公的債務や利払い費の増加が深刻な問題となっている。本講義では、公的債務および国家債務危機についての理解を深めることを目的とする。
Currently, in major advanced economies, including Japan, as well as in many developing countries, high levels of public debt and rising interest payments have become serious concerns. This lecture aims to deepen understanding of public debt and sovereign debt crises.

扱うトピックは以下の通りである。
(1)現在の財政状況と公的債務について（現状及び歴史的変遷）
(2)公的債務の持続可能性
(3)国家債務危機の事例（主にアルゼンチンとギリシャ）と発生のメカニズム
(4)国家債務危機の経済理論を中心に先行研究の紹介
(5)事前的に危機の発生を防ぐ政策
(6)事後的に危機の影響を最小化する政策
I am planning to cover the following topics:
(1) The current fiscal situation and public debt (current state and historical evolution)
(2) The sustainability of public debt
(3) Case studies of sovereign debt crises (focusing on Argentina and Greece) and their mechanisms
(4) A review of previous studies, with an emphasis on economic theories of sovereign debt crises
(5) Policies to prevent crises preemptively
(6) Policies to minimize the impact of crises post-occurrence
授業の方法
対面による授業を基本とするが、オンデマンドにも対応する。
The primary mode of instruction will be in-person lectures, but on-demand options will also be available.
成績評価方法
レポート2回 / two reports
履修上の注意
数式を多用しないようにするが、モデルを用いて分析した論文を解説する際には、ある程度の数学を使う。
We will try to minimize the use of mathematics; however, some mathematical concepts may be used when explaining research papers that involve analytical models.
