週ごとの課題文献に関して報告してもらい、議論する。参加者の人数次第で、報告者はレジュメを作るものとする。 加えて、受講者自身の研究に関係して読むべき文献のリスト作成と発表、またそのリスト中の重要文献を通読して紹介する報告をしてもらう。 期末レポートは各自の研究する分野に関する研究文献の書評（日本語、6000字以上）とする。どの文献を選ぶかは、事前に教員と相談して決める。授業で報告した文献でもよい。

出席、発表、議論への参加、期末レポートを総合して成績をつける。

大学院の授業なので予習は必須である。

海外研究者の来日などがある場合、そちらへの出席と議論への参加も授業の一環として扱う可能性がある。
