Readings in Analytic Philosophy
Analytic Philosophy is the predominant style of English-language philosophy, in which language and its connection to the mind and the world became a prime concern.. In this course we will read a variety of original texts in roughly chronological order from the turn of the 20th century until around the 1970s.

Philosophers to be covered include: Russell, Wittgenstein, Ayer, Quine, Strawson, Grice, Austin, Putnam, Davidson, Rawls, and Anscombe.
授業の方法
Classes will revolve around discussion of the week's reading. The class will be conducted in English.

The final grade will be based on class participation and a final essay.
