言語情報科学特別講義I

Academic writing for journal articles
This course is targeted at those who are looking to improve their academic writing abilities in English and other languages, as well as those who are looking to improve their understanding of writing processes. In this course, we will
(i) examine the various stages of academic writing and how those stages synthesise within a writing process,
(ii) conduct hands-on practice on improving academic writing skills through the various stages
(iii) familiarise with and practise the submission process for academic journal articles.
Other course goals can be decided upon with class participants in the first two week of class.

This class will be taught in English, and it will be the main language used by all members of the class. But those who might teach second-language English writing in a language other than English could choose to use another language in practical hands-on activities, provided there are other classmates who can use the same language.
