計量認知言語学の実践／Methods and Practice in Quantitative Cognitive Linguistics
「認知言語学」は、言語と認知能力の関わりを研究する分野である。2000年代以降、「量的転回」（the quantitative turn）と呼ばれる方法論的変化を経て、近年は客観的で検証可能な手法に基づく研究が国際的な主流となっている。本演習では、受講者の関心を出発点に、研究課題の設定からデータの収集・前処理・分析・解釈に至る一連の研究プロセスを扱う。
本演習の目標は、受講者が、1) 言語と認知に関する独自の問いを構築し、2) 先行研究を批判的に検討した上で、3) 再現可能な科学的手法に基づき言語データを分析し、4) 結果の理論的含意を現行の理論に照らし合わせて説明できる力を身につけることである。／
“Cognitive Linguistics” is a field that investigates the relationship between language and cognitive abilities. Since the 2000s, the field has undergone a methodological shift known as "the quantitative turn." Consequently, research based on objective, verifiable methods has become the international mainstream in recent years. Building on participants’ interests, this course covers the full research process, from formulating a research question to collecting, preprocessing, analyzing, and interpreting data.
The goal of this course is for students to develop the ability to: (1) formulate original questions about language and cognition; (2) critically evaluate previous studies; (3) analyze linguistic data using reproducible scientific methods; and (4) explain the theoretical implications of their findings in light of current theories.

授業の方法
本演習の最初の数回では、言語研究の基礎ならびに科学的な言語研究の方法を概説するとともに、担当教員が実際に投稿した論文とそれに対する査読コメントを取り上げ、論文出版の一連のプロセスを実践的に学ぶ。また、先行研究を鵜呑みにするのではなく、批判的に検討するクリティカル・リーディングの方法を習得する。
その後は、受講者の関心に基づき、Cognitive Linguistics等の主要学術誌や書籍から精読対象の論文・ブックチャプターを選定し、発表とディスカッションを行う。さらに、各自の研究計画・方法・分析結果（進捗）について段階的に発表し、相互フィードバックを通じて研究の精緻化につなげる。

授業におけるコメントなどの参加度、発表：50％
期末レポート：50％
