Introduction to Philosophy
This course is an academic introduction to philosophy, inviting students to engage with core philosophical questions. It examines themes such as the search for objective moral principles, the philosophical justifications for government, the nature and limits of human knowledge, the problem of consciousness, the debate between determinism and free will, and the epistemological status of science.

授業の方法
Classes will start with a mini-lecture, then a review of homework questions, and finally a philosophical problem to solve in a group. Classes will be heavily discussion based.
成績評価方法
Class participation in discussion: 30%
Exam: 70%
