Class 1: Intro to ecology, science and classification Class 2: Population ecology: the basics and dynamics Class 3: Population ecology: demography and life history evolution Class 4: The origin of life Class 5: Natural selection practical exercise Class 6: Evolution: eco-evolutionary dynamics Class 7: Community ecology: biodiversity and classic ecological patterns Class 8: Community ecology: ecological interactions Class 9: Community ecology: mutualism/cooperation Class 10: Human evolution Class 11: Microbial ecology Class 12: Ecosystem ecology: primary production, and the flow of energy and nutrients Class 13: Landscape Ecology and the Biosphere

Lecture and Discussion (including at least 15min of discussion and group exercises per class)
成績評価方法
Participation: 10%, Final exam: 90%. There is a potential of extra grading from a field trip.
