The goal of this module is to take you to the frontiers of historical research into European capitalism. For this year, we propose to conduct this discussion (predominantly) in Japanese. Contact the instructor in advance should you wish to take part but do not speak the language.

ゼミ形式で行う。事前に指示された「論点」を頼りに研究論文を毎週3-4本読んでもらい、論点について順番にプレゼンをしてもらう。 Seminar based on your active participation. Each week you will read up to 3 articles mainly in English, based on guiding questions related to the theme. You will be asked to do short oral presentations of (5 mins) on a regular basis.
