教育社会学方法論研究／ Research Methods in Sociology of Education
本授業では、教育社会学研究の特に量的調査研究において必要な計量分析の手法について説明し、実際の社会調査データを用いた分析を行う。データの記述、予測、因果推論というそれぞれの目的を達成するための適切な方法の習得を目指す。そして、リサーチクエスチョンや理論・仮説を適切に計量分析と結びつけ、そして解釈できること、そして計量分析手法をもちいた研究論文を執筆できるようになることを目標とする。／
This course explains quantitative analysis methods necessary for research on sociology of education, particularly in quantitative survey research, and includes practical analysis using actual social survey data. The aim is to acquire appropriate methods for achieving various objectives: data description, prediction, and causal inference. The course goals are to enable students to properly connect research questions and theoretical hypotheses with quantitative analysis, interpret results appropriately, and write research papers using quantitative analysis methods.

課題レポート40%、最終レポート60%／Evaluation will be based on regular assignments (40%) and a final report (60%).

ほぼ毎回、課題が課されます。計量的分析の初歩（クロス表、回帰分析など）についてはすでに習得していることを前提として授業を進めます。基礎的な計量分析の方法やRの使用方法ついては「教育調査分析法」を受講するなどしてください。／
Assignments will be given almost every week. The course will be conducted assuming students have already acquired basic knowledge of quantitative analysis (cross-tabulation, regression analysis, etc.). For basic quantitative analysis methods and R usage, please take "Statistical Methods for Educational Research" or equivalent courses.
