近世前期の大名書状を読む／ Reading letters of daimyos (feudal lords) in the early modern period
近世前期の日本史を研究するうえで、書状の読解は重要な要素であるが、難しい点の一つは、書状には基本的に日付のみで年次が記されないことにある。書状の年次を確定することは、その内容を正確に把握するうえで必要不可欠であり、一方で書状の年次を確定するためには、その内容を正確に把握しなければならない。本授業では大名家史料に含まれる書状の読解を通じて、近世前期史料の取り扱いの技術を習得し、当該期の日本社会の特質を考えることを目標とする。／Reading letters is an important element in studying early modern Japanese history, but one of the difficulties is that letters generally only contain the date and not the year. Determining the year of a letter is essential to accurately understanding its content, but at the same time, determining the year of a letter requires an accurate understanding of its content. The goal of this class is to acquire the skills to handle early modern historical materials through the reading of letters contained in the historical documents of daimyo families, and to consider the characteristics of Japanese society during this period.

授業計画
本年度は担当教員の初年度なので、先ず参加者各自の研究について報告・紹介してもらう。その上で対象とする文書群（テキスト）を主に『大日本古文書』既刊の大名家史料から選定し、史料原本の写真を利用して刊本の再校訂（翻刻・年次比定の再検討）を進める。／As this is the first year for the instructors, participants will first report and introduce their own research. After that, we will select target documents (texts) from the Daimyo family historical materials already published in the Dai Nihon Komonjo, and will proceed with revising the published documents (re-examining transcription and dating) using photographs of the original documents.
授業の方法
毎回、対象とする大名家史料に含まれる書状から数点を選んで担当者を決め、史料を音読した上で、翻刻・年次比定・登場人物、文書の内容について報告してもらい、全員で討論する。／Each time, a few letters are selected from the historical documents of the daimyo families in question, and a person is assigned to be in charge. After reading the documents aloud, the person reports on the transcription, dating, characters, and content of the documents, which are then discussed by everyone.
成績評価方法
平常点（授業内での担当箇所の報告と授業への参加度）により評価する。（100%）／Evaluate based on normal points (report of the part in charge in the class and degree of participation in the class). (100%)
履修上の注意
本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各2時間（合計4時間）を標準とする。報告担当者は、担当史料を読解し、その年次・内容について十分に調査検討することが求められる。もちろん担当者以外も予習することが求められる。／The standard preparatory study /review time for this class is 2 hours each. The reporter is required to read the historical materials in charge and thoroughly investigate and examine the year and contents. Of course, it is required to prepare for others.
