　授業の進め方としては、毎回、原文で160行程の解釈の多様性を探ります。教師が一方的に説明するのではなく、グループディスカッションを積み重ねて、解釈の難しい箇所を共に解きほぐしたいと考えています。 　この本文分析に加えて、毎回の授業の後半では、『マクベス』の批評史、舞台演出、映画を取り上げます。作品理解に必要な、歴史、文化、宗教的背景の説明もします。世界遺産的傑作『マクベス』を通して、文学研究の基礎を学び、その面白さを味わっていただける授業にしたいと考えています。 　本講義が、なぜこれほどまでに世界中でシェイクスピアが上演され続けているのかを知るよい機会になると思います。 　初回はガイダンスにあてます。参考文献や予習の方法について話をするので必ず参加してください。 　時間があれば、毎回講義で扱った箇所を映像で確認するつもりです。 　毎回、授業の最後か、翌週の授業の冒頭で、教師が出す問いに対するリアクションペーパーを提出していただきます。

評価の方法：出席状況20％、授業参加20％、リアクションペーパー60％
